The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on Granting Turkmenistan Citizenship.

At the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov said that, based on current legislation, the norms of international law and the principles of humanism, which are the basis of domestic and foreign policy of the country, Turkmenistan has consistently taken measures to ensure human rights and freedoms , including persons, for certain reasons and circumstances, forced to leave their homeland.
