To obtain any type of visa to Turkmenistan, it is mandatory to have an invitation issued by a legal or physical person, prepared in accordance with the established procedure and agreed with the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan.

For visa processing in Bishkek, in case of having an invitation, the following documents must be submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic:

1. An invitation issued by a legal or physical person, prepared in accordance with the established procedure and agreed with the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan (printed in color);
2. International passport (original) and a color copy of the passport;
3. For citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic: a copy of the internal identity document;
4. Visa application form (must be filled in by computer with accurate personal data and must be in color);
5. Two (2) photographs sized 3x4;
6. Payment of the consular fee (payment is made in US dollars at “Optima Bank”, and a stamped receipt must be provided).

ATTENTION:

Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic born in the territory of Turkmenistan must provide a copy of a certificate of renunciation of Turkmen citizenship or a certificate confirming absence of Turkmen citizenship. If such a certificate is not available, it must be obtained in advance in accordance with the established procedure.

CHILDREN

A child traveling together with parents must be included in the invitation and must have their own international passport. For visa processing for a child, it is additionally required to submit two (2) new color photographs of the child, the original and a color copy of the child’s birth certificate, passports and marriage certificate or divorce certificate of the parents, as well as consent for the child’s departure, in case the child travels with one parent or a legal representative.

AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES

Acceptance of documents from authorized persons is carried out on the basis of a notarized power of attorney (state-certified). Authorized persons representing organizations may submit documents on the basis of a letter of authorization from the organization.

CONSULAR FEES

Payment of consular fees for visa services is made on the day of submission of documents for consideration at the consular section. In case of refusal or cancellation of consular actions, consular fees are non-refundable.

Urgent visa processing is carried out within three (3) working days; non-urgent processing is carried out after three (3) calendar days from the date of submission of the above-mentioned documents.

Payment of the consular fee is made at the bank in US dollars.

Single entry visa:

• Up to 10 days – 75 USD
• Up to 20 days – 75 USD
• Up to 1 month – 95 USD
• Each additional month – +40 USD

Multiple entry visa:

• Up to 1 month – 75 USD
• Up to 2 months – 115 USD
• Up to 3 months – 155 USD
• Each additional month – +40 USD

Non-urgent visa processing is carried out within 4 to 7 working days.

For urgent visa processing (within three working days), double consular fee charges are applied.

CHILD VISA POLICY

Children under 7 years of age are issued visas without payment of the main consular fee; the visa fee amounts to 15 USD regardless of duration. For children aged 7 to 16, the main consular fee is reduced by 50%. For foreign nationals other than citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, different tariffs apply. For additional information, applicants must contact the Consular Section of the Embassy of Turkmenistan.

VISIT TO A RELATIVE’S GRAVE

The following documents must be provided:

1. Application form;

3. International passport and color copy of the data page;
4. Birth certificate copy (document confirming kinship);
5. Death certificate copy of the relative and burial certificate (if available);
6. Marriage certificate or divorce certificate;
7. For citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic: one color copy of the internal passport;
8. Certificate from place of employment;
9. For pensioners: one color copy of pension certificate;
10. Visa application form (must be filled in by computer with accurate personal data and in color);
11. One new color photograph sized 3x4.

1. Application form;
2. Original or color copy of invitation letter from the receiving organization (sanatorium), referral and sanatorium-resort medical card from the local clinic;
3. International passport and color copy of data page;
4. For citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic: one color copy of internal passport;
5. Certificate from place of employment;
6. For pensioners: one color copy of pension certificate;
7. Visa application form (must be filled in by computer with accurate personal data and in color);

To visit relatives residing in Turkmenistan, an invitation approved by the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan must be provided.

SUBMISSION WITHOUT INVITATION

For submission of documents for visa application at the Consular Section of Turkmenistan (in case of absence of an invitation from Turkmenistan), the following documents are accepted:

1. International passport and one color copy of the photo page;
2. Visa application form;
3. Visa form and two new color photographs sized 3x4;
4. Certificate from place of employment or study.

Upon receiving the visa, in order to visit a close relative, attend funeral ceremonies, or the anniversary of a close relative’s death, a copy of the deceased person’s document and a document confirming kinship must be provided.

VISA CATEGORIES

• “HM – Humanitarian” – for visiting the anniversary of a close relative’s death;
• “TR1 – Transit” – for persons transiting through the territory of the state;
• “PR1 – Private” – for visiting a close relative who, due to objective reasons, cannot issue an invitation from Turkmenistan independently.
• DR – Driver visa;
• TU – Tourist visa;
• OF – Official visa.
