On the meeting with the Executive Director of the Turkmenistan–US Business Council

On 3 June 2026, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had a meeting with the Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-US Business Council Eric Stewart, who arrived to Ashgabat on a working visit leading a representative delegation of American companies.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the work of the Turkmenistan-US Business Council as an effective platform for strengthening business contacts and expanding cooperation between representatives of state and private sector organisations in both countries.

The effectiveness of the round table held today in Ashgabat by representatives of the Council was noted. The event was attended by representatives of around ten US companies, including Climate Compass, John Deere, Westport Trading and others. The Turkmen side at the round table was led by N. Atagulyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

During the talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, it was particularly emphasised that the Council’s work contributes to the strengthening of inter-state ties and development of mutually beneficial trade-economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States of America.

The sides reaffirmed their interest in further strengthening of the partnership in key economic sectors, including transport and logistics, energy, oil and gas, agriculture and others.

On the same day, the representatives of the Turkmenistan-US Business Council held a number of bilateral meetings at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
