On the meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation

On 15 April 2026, a meeting was held at the MFA of Turkmenistan between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Vasil Shaykhraziev.

During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of Turkmen-Tatar cooperation, as well as prospects for further development of interaction in the cultural-humanitarian sphere.

Particular attention was paid to preparations for the final stage of the International “Tatar Kyzy” contest to be held in Turkmenistan in October 2026. In this regard, the importance of the contest as a significant cultural and humanitarian platform promoting the preservation of national traditions, spiritual values, and intercultural dialogue was highlighted.

The Turkmen side confirmed its readiness to ensure a high organizational level of the upcoming event and create the necessary conditions for its successful holding.

Following the meeting, the sides expressed confidence that further constructive interaction would contribute to strengthening friendly ties and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
