A SEMINAR DEDICATED TO THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS BETWEEN TURKMENISTAN AND PAKISTAN WAS HELD IN ISLAMABAD

On May 9, 2022, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad, together with the Pakistan Institute for Peace and Diplomatic Studies, held a seminar entitled “30 years of Pakistan-Turkmenistan Relations: Way Forward”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The forum was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, prominent politicians, heads of think tanks, business circles and public organizations of Pakistan, heads of diplomatic missions of foreign countries in Islamabad, and representatives of local media.

In their speeches, the participants of the seminar noted that for thirty years regular political contacts have been established between the countries at the level of Heads of States, heads of Foreign Ministries, as well as trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation is developing. Both countries are successfully interacting today in a bilateral and multilateral format - within the framework of major international organizations.

Also on the sidelines of the seminar, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan had a conversation with the Minister of State for Petroleum of Pakistan, Musadik Masood Malik. During the conversation, the Pakistani Minister of State stressed the need to discuss the possibilities of further promotion of joint TAPI and TAP projects with Turkmenistan.
