Turkmenistan and Romania intend to intensify cooperation in the oil and gas sector

The possibility of building mutually beneficial partnerships discussed at the regular meeting of the Turkmen-Romanian working Commission on cooperation in the energy, which was held yesterday in the building of oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan. To participate in the business meeting in the capital there has arrived delegation of representatives of the Ministry of energy of Romania.
As emphasized by the speakers, one of the key aspects of the energy strategy of Turkmenistan is the further modernization and technical re-equipment of enterprises of oil and gas and petrochemical industry, construction of modern gas processing facilities, including for the production of gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, polyethylene, polypropylene and other chemical products. In this context, there was broad introduction into practice of advanced resource-saving technologies, innovative scientific and technical developments.
The openness of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, rich natural resources, a favorable investment climate – all this provides great opportunities for increasing international cooperation in all spheres, including in the oil and gas.
Following the meeting was signed a Protocol.
In July 2017, the President of Romania in the message the Head of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, noted that the Romanian-Turkmen cooperation has reached the level of strategic partnership. He also stressed the interest of Romanian companies in the implementation of joint projects in energy and namazyvaniem of transport between the ports of the Black and Caspian seas.
