Delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the CAREC Business Forum 2025 and the 24th Ministerial Conference "Green and Digital CAREC"
On 18–20 November 2025, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Minister of Finance B.Yalakov and Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service M.Muhammedov took part in the CAREC Business Forum 2025 and the 24th Ministerial Conference of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program "Green and Digital CAREC", held in Bishkek.
During the sessions, the representatives of the Turkmen side reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to further strengthening regional economic cooperation, promoting sustainable development and expanding collaboration in the field of digital modernization. The relevance of the theme of the current forum was underlined, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive approach to issues of environmental sustainability and the introduction of modern technological solutions.
The Turkmen delegation expressed support for the updated CAREC strategic documents covering the priority areas of cooperation in the transport, trade, digital and social sectors. In this regard, information was presented on the ongoing work in Turkmenistan aimed at the modernization of national infrastructure, the development of digital services, the improvement of customs administration, as well as the enhancement of the healthcare system’s capacity, including the introduction of climate-resilient and digital solutions.
Following the outcomes of the conference, the Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the CAREC Digital Corridor and the Bishkek Ministerial Declaration on the launch of negotiations on the CAREC Trade and Investment Facilitation (CARTIF) Partnership Agreement were signed.
