Meeting between the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of German Economy

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of German Economy Michael Harms.

Michael Harms expressed gratitude for the time devoted to the meeting and emphasized that Germany attaches great importance to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan. Taking this opportunity, the Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of German Economy also conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan from the Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

Michael Harms also expressed his sincere gratitude to Hero-Arkadag for the invitation to take part in the significant event.

Expressing gratitude for the kind words and hospitality, the National Leader of the Turkmen people addressed his best wishes to the leadership of Germany and noted that cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Federal Republic of Germany is developing successfully in various areas.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized the significance of the visits of the Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of German Economy to Turkmenistan.

The Hero-Arkadag also emphasized that the trade and economic sphere serves as one of the most important vectors of the bilateral partnership. At the same timespecial attention is given to close interaction in the fields of medicine, agriculture, and other areas.

Speaking about the Turkmen-German cooperation in the field of medicine, the Hero-Arkadag noted that the medical facilities planned to be opened this year are timed to coincide with the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers of Turkmenistan are equipped with advanced technologies and equipment from Germany. In this regard, taking the opportunity, the Hero-Arkadag invited Michael Harms to take part in the festive celebrations that will be held in Turkmenistan on the occasion of the glorious 35th anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan and the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers.

The Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of German Economy expressed his sincere gratitude for the invitation and confirmed the readiness of the FRG to develop cooperation with Turkmenistan. In this context, Michael Harms emphasized the importance of the medical cluster being built in the city of Arkadag and confirmed the interest of the German side in developing partnership and exchanging experience in this area.
