The President of Turkmenistan was awarded the highest state award of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the "Oliý Darajali Dustlik" Order
On November 17, 2025, following the opening ceremony of the Turkmen-Uzbek border trade zone, the highest state award of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the "Oliý Darajali Dustlik" Order, was presented to the President of Turkmenistan.
Warmly welcoming President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the participants of the ceremony, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that it was a great honor for him to present the highest state award of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the "Oliý Darajali Dustlik" Order, to the Head of Turkmenistan.
As emphasized, this decision reflects the sincere respect and recognition by the people of Uzbekistan of the achievements of the President of Turkmenistan in strengthening friendship, mutual trust, and strategic partnership between the two fraternal countries.
The President of Uzbekistan noted that during the talks, important agreements were reached in all areas of bilateral cooperation. At the same time, it was noted that President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is worthily continuing the course laid out by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, and once again congratulated the Head of state on the successes achieved by Turkmenistan.
"As a prominent statesman, you are worthily continuing the work of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, my dear brother, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov," said President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev once again warmly congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on receiving the high state award of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This award is a symbol of strong friendship and strategic cooperation between the two countries, the Uzbek leader said, wishing the Head of Turkmenistan good health, continued success in his large-scale endeavors, and peace and prosperity to the Turkmen people.
The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan awarding the Head of Turkmenistan with the "Oliý Darajali Dustlik" Order was then read.
Expressing gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the decision to award Uzbekistan's highest state award, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that he views it as a sign of high respect for the people of Turkmenistan and evidence of centuries-old Turkmen-Uzbek brotherhood.
As emphasized, shared history and culture serve as a solid foundation for strengthening bilateral friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation. Currently, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan demonstrate an exemplary level of interstate dialogue based on the principles of good neighborliness, mutual respect, and equal partnership.
"It is gratifying to see the high results achieved in politics, economics, and other important areas over the years of joint work," the Head of state said, once again thanking President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and wishing him good health and great success in national and international affairs, as well as peace, prosperity, and well-being to the fraternal people of Uzbekistan.
Bilateral documents were then exchanged.
Then, to the applause of those gathered, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a Joint Statement.
