Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Indonesia

On November 7, 2025, a ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Indonesia (Merdeka Palace) in Jakarta, during which the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Indonesia (with residence in Kuala Lumpur), M.Mashalov, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto.

During the ceremony, the National Anthem of Turkmenistan was performed.

Ambassador conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the President of the Republic of Indonesia on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The President of Indonesia congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to this responsible position and wished him success in his diplomatic mission.

During the conversation, Turkmenistan’s interest in developing cooperation with the Republic of Indonesia in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres was noted.

On this occasion, the Ambassador conveyed an invitation on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to the President of the Republic of Indonesia to pay a visit to Turkmenistan.

After the ceremony of presenting  credentials, a meeting was held between the newly appointed Ambassadors and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Sugiono. During the conversation, the Indonesian Minister expressed readiness to provide assistance and support in the implementation of the Ambassador’s diplomatic activities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides agreed to maintain regular contacts between the foreign policy agencies of the two countries with a view to further strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Indonesia.
