Women’s delegation from Turkmenistan visited the People's Republic of China on a working visit

Women’s delegation from Turkmenistan recently visited the People's Republic of China. During the working visit, a number of important meetings took place.
Cultural diplomacy is a strategic investment aimed at long-term stability and prosperity. Establishing ties in such important areas as culture, art, science, education, sports, promotes familiarization with the cultural heritage and spiritual values of the two peoples. Actively developing relations in these areas, Turkmenistan and China are building strong bridges of friendship that bring the two peoples closer together, including at the diplomatic level.
On the first day of the visit, the head of the Turkmen delegation, Vice President for Medical Activities of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Oguljahan Atabayeva, met with the Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China, Huai Jinpeng.
The Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China highly appreciated the fact that the Charity Fund not only provides assistance to children in need of guardianship, but also attaches great importance to them receiving high-quality inclusive education. In this context, Oguljahan Atabayeva expressed interest in studying China’s experience in improving special and inclusive education for children with disabilities.
As part of the visit of the Turkmen delegation to China, Oguljahan Atabayeva also met with the Deputy Head of the National Health Commission of China Zeng Yixin. The parties emphasized their commitment to further strengthening traditionally friendly relations in the humanitarian sphere. In this regard, Oguljahan Atabayeva noted that Turkmenistan is interested in China's experience in the healthcare sector.
Zeng Yixin noted the Chinese side's willingness to share its rich experience and technologies, considering this as an important contribution to the development of the global healthcare system.
During the conversation, interest was expressed in considering the prospects for cooperation with China in the area of improving the professional level of medical personnel. At the same time, Oguljahan Atabayeva noted the willingness to study the experience of Chinese colleagues in the treatment of oncological and genetic diseases in children.
Also, as part of the visit of our country's delegation to the PRC, a meeting was held between Oguljahan Atabayeva and Ms. Li Bin, Head of the Soong Ching Ling Foundation of the People's Republic of China.
Ms. Li Bin noted that the Chinese and Turkmen peoples have maintained friendly relations since ancient times. As was emphasized during the meeting, through cooperation between the two Funds, there are opportunities to enrich Turkmen-Chinese humanitarian relations with new content.
Oguljahan Atabaeva noted that the Fund is interested in exchanging experiences, emphasizing that the Turkmen side is ready to consider socially oriented projects.
At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Soong Ching Ling Foundation.
In addition, as part of the visit of the Turkmen delegation to the PRC, Vice President of the Charity Fund Oguljahan Atabayeva met with Vice Chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chairperson of the Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the SCO, Ms. Shen Yueyue.
As was noted during the meeting, the approaches of the two states coincide in matters of strengthening global peace and security, expanding friendly relations between countries and peoples. At the heart of this is the common goal of comprehensive development and strengthening of friendship between the two peoples, which has roots deep in the centuries.
Also during the visit, a meeting was held with the Mayor of Shanghai, Gong Zheng. The Vice President for Medical Activities of the Fund emphasized that China occupies one of the leading positions in the field of medicine and technology. In this regard, interest was expressed in the experience accumulated by the friendly state in the health care system, in particular, in the field of health care and rehabilitation of children.
The Mayor of Shanghai Gong Zheng, in turn, emphasized that the dialogue in this direction will continue for the benefit of children.
During the visit, the Turkmen delegation also visited the historical palace complex "Gugong" located in the center of Beijing. Also, members of the Turkmen delegation visited the Chinese Youth Center for Scientific, Technical and Cultural Relations named after Soong Ching Ling.
