Representatives of national and foreign diplomatic service were presented with jubilee medals and commemorative signs in honor of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi

On December 10, 2024, the ceremonies of awarding jubilee medals and sets of commemorative signs “Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna” (On the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi) to representatives of the diplomatic service of Turkmenistan and foreign countries. The events were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the conference hall of the Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan.

During the awarding ceremonies, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov read out the relevant documents signed by the honorable President of Turkmenistan on awarding citizens of Turkmenistan and foreign citizens with the jubilee medal “Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna” and a commemorative sign.

The events were attended by the leadership and staff members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, heads of Turkmenistan’s diplomatic missions abroad, as well as heads of the diplomatic corps in Turkmenistan, representatives of international organizations, faculty members of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, students and mass media representatives.

The recipients of state awards expressed gratitude to the esteem President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as to the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag for such high appreciation of their work for the promotion of the ancestral values of the Turkmen people, as well as their contribution to the education of the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, high morality, diligence and humanism.

In addition, the significant contribution of diplomats to the mutual enrichment of cultures, peace, brotherhood and cooperation among peoples was noted. 

In this regard, the essence of the work of the great poet Magtymguly Fragi was emphasized, which reflects such enduring universal values as love for the Motherland, humanism, peacefulness, and the call for creation, friendship and brotherhood.

Noteworthy were the words of Natalia German, Assistant Secretary-General and Executive Director of the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate, who noted in her speech of gratitude that Magtymguly Fragi was in fact the herald of the establishment of the United Nations, the main purpose of which is to maintain and strengthen international peace and security, as well as the development of cooperation between countries and peoples.
